HOSA students standing in front of the Phoenix Convention Center

On November 10th, 11 students and 2 advisors went to the Arizona State Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Fall Leadership Conference. It was held in downtown Phoenix at the Phoenix Convention Center.  Everyone that attended was treated to opportunities to learn and network with the 2700+ students and advisors that were in attendance from all over the state of Arizona!

Students could choose from a variety of workshops and leadership sessions to attend, including how to apply to medical school, how to support your mental health, up and coming technology in the medical field, and more!  Of course, they squeezed in some time for fun, food, and Starbucks. The next stop will be the Arizona state conference where members will be able to put the skills they're learning at CVIT to the test against other students from all over the state!

HOSA is open to all students in the CVIT Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, and Dental Assistant programs, and it's never too late to join.  Contact Ms. D, Central Campus Counselor for more information.
